Arias and duets from operas by Bellini, Donizetti, Verdi, ...
The current queen of bel canto sopranos, the Italian Mariella Devia, will join the latest sensation among Spanish tenors, Celso Albelo, to offer a recital with some of the most beautiful pages of 19th century composers. Devia and Albelo have already performed together, starring some acclaimed shows of "Maria Stuarda" in Italy, but they had never debuted as vocal duet in Spain. Albelo returns to Galicia, where last summer he had great success with "I Puritani" by Bellini, before singing "The Sleepwalker", a title that he had already interpreted with Cecilia Bartoli on his debut at London's Covent Garden. Devia is a frequent guest of the opera houses and her performances remain as a model for the bel canto style, preserved in its most refined essence.
