On May 31st 1929, the debut of "O Mariscal" took place in Vigo, the opera of the musician and architect Eduardo Rodríguez Losada with libretto by Ramón Cabanillas and Antón Vilar based on his own work. Xacobeo Classics has recovered this score, based on one of the key episodes of Galician history that portrays the conflict between the nobility of the country and the central power, with a concert version led by two of the most distinguished Galician singers of our time, soprano Teresa Novoa, National Music Prize 2001, and baritone Javier Franco, who had great success in Vienna with "Maria di Rohan" by Gaetano Donizetti, last summer. Joám Trillo, author of the modern edition of the score, will direct the Galician Symphony Orchestra in this disinterment of Rodriguez-Losada's great success, that will be performed in Vigo and A Coruña.
