Under the request of Xacobeo Classics, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Galicia will be performing the first Violin Concerto by one of the most distinguished Galician composers, Octavio Vázquez. His works have been presented at the Kölner Musiktriennale of Germany, the Prokofiev International Festival of Russia or the European Dream Festival of USA, among others... Last season, Vazquez' music could be heard at the Foundation Juan March in Madrid, Radio Nacional-2, Art Institute of Chicago and the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic. His recording of "Piano Trio No. 1, Guernica," sponsored by Xacobeo, has been one of the most interesting recordings of a young composer released in the lat years.
